Arts, Design and Health Steering Group Incubates New Strategies for Advancing Research
Today was a hopeful day full of positive connections. I attended an inspiring virtual meeting with ADRI, The Penn State Arts and Design Research Incubator under the direction of William Doan, ADRI Director and Professor of Theatre, Artist-in-Residence in The College of Nursing and Tara Cami who manages programming operation and commmunications for the research incubator. ADRI seeks to improve lives through research and applications of the arts and design practices for health and well-being. I will hope to post here at the artinpandemic.com blog some posts about research and projects from ADRI and their associates. For now I will link you to William Doan's graphic arts and story work featured in The Annals of International Medicine, "Annals Graphic Medicine- Thoughts and Images from an Artist Working to Find Mental Health Balance During a Pandemic". I am always inspired when talented people active in the arts and interdisciplinary work join to share their research and current ideas.
